MURSD released the official reentry plan. You can find it here, or on the district website. The students' first day of school is September 16th. The year will begin by getting to know each other and building up our stamina for learning. A 4th grade schedule was sent home to families in early September outlining a typical day. Each day will include synchronous (whole class) and asynchronous (independent/self-paced) work via Zoom. We have many opportunities for small group instruction and parter work built into the schedule. Students have snack, lunch and recess, and a special every day. Our goal is to make remote learning feel like school as much as possible without being overwhelming. Daily attendance will be taken and grades will be collected from they work your student turns in.
If possible, I encourage you to have your student set up a learning station. This should be in a public space in the house, acting a mini office. They can have all learning materials available and this will set them up for success. They might find it fun to decorate, with a picture of friends or their pet.
4th grade will be using Google Classroom for all assignments. Students will complete assignments using the GSuite apps and turn them in via Google Classroom. Due dates will be set and grades/feedback will be provided by the teachers.
Our district will be using the Clever app to access all platforms. This app will make logging in much easier and your child won't need to go searching for his/her username and password.
